We do not measure our worth based on six-minute billable units. We work closely with our clients to give certainty as to their legal spending and approach pricing with the client’s needs in mind.
Whilst we have a strong focus on property, planning and construction law, we also assist our clients with a wider range of legal needs including conveyancing, estate planning, corporate and commercial law (sale of business) and commercial litigation.
We also provide consulting services for private companies and individuals, seeking advice with planning, procurement and construction of properties.
Our team
Anthony Boskovitz is the Principal Partner of Boskovitz Lawyers. Anthony specialises in all facets of Property Law, including Planning and Environment Law, property transactions and all other matters related to titling. Anthony is also able to assist individuals to establish trusts, superannuation funds and estate planning. For those requiring support to process or appeal Development Applications with the Land and Environment Court, Anthony is widely recognised for his success in progressing these matters.
Since 2015, Anthony has appeared in excess of 50 Appeals in the Land and Environment Court across numerous Council areas in the greater Sydney area, including the City of Sydney, Woollahra and Liverpool. He has current appeals in progress in all of these areas, as well as the Northern Beaches and Sutherland Shire.
Anthony is also widely instructed as a Consultant on planning matters and has submitted over 200 objections to Eastern Suburbs Councils between 2015 and 2018.
Anthony is a highly regarded planning lawyer and his successes in obtaining planning approvals has allowed his clients to get on with their project and focus on their delivery of core services. No client wants to be caught up in bureaucratic red tape, especially when time delays can cause excessive costs. Anthony understands this so he always endeavours to achieve clients’ planning outcomes in a manner which reduces time and cost. In addition, Anthony also served as Woollahra Municipal Councillor for 11 years and was the chair of the Development Control Committee. His time on the Council put him in a unique position to understanding the inner workings of Councils and their planning departments; allowing him to navigate the system efficiently.
Kate started her legal career as a Property Lawyer at Gadens. During this time, she developed an expertise in a wide range of property acquisitions and disposals, including acting for Property Funds and Developers looking to invest in Shopping Centres, Licensed Premises (Pubs and Hotels) and residential development sites in excess of 100 lots. Kate also advised landlords and tenants with their commercial, industrial and retail leasing.
Kate worked on complex commercial property transactions, including mixed-use development and construction, Strata and Community Land Titling, Wind Farm Transactions and the sale of incomplete development sites. She also assisted clients with structuring their Off the Plan Sales, Option Agreements and Agreement for Leases.
Following her tenure at Gadens, Kate joined Brookfield Multiplex Services; a Brookfield subsidiary, where she obtained experience in complex infrastructure projects, including a number of notable Public and Private Partnerships (PPPs).
As Vice-President of Legal, Kate was able to assist the business with its D&C, O&M, FM, Project Management and Construction Management needs. She prepared contracts for the business for various commercial models, including integrated models which involved some fixed fee and some “pass through” work. Kate also provided advice on constructing within critical environments, including data and telecommunication centres.
Kate assisted Brookfield Multiplex Services with its merger, and subsequent demerger, from the Johnson Controls Group (a Fortune 500 company listed on the NYSE). After almost four years, she joined Ashurst as a Senior Associate in their Infrastructure Practice where she worked on a number of notable PPPs and infrastructure projects including Westconnex, Sydney Metro, the Moscow to Kazan High Speed Rail PPP, the Social and Affordable Housing Fund and various wind farm construction projects.
